Now that he isn't the 'boss' and the damocrats are not in control, he doesn't want the Republicans to use the so called 'nuclear option' to confirm Trumps appointments.  This even after many of the damocrats have stated they intend to obstruct the new administration simply to frustrate.

harry greid and his sister nancy pee-louse-ee poisined this country's  governing system for to many years and they want that for their legacy.

Trump and obamacare

  It's been reported that Pres-Elec Trump wants to keep two facets of obamacare; 1) Parents allowed to keep their children on their plans till age 26.  I would hope a qualifier that they be in school. 2) Coverage cannot be denied for preexisting conditions.
 
  In the first case I cannot see an underwriting problem, or at least one that would affect the rating of the policy other than the number of insureds on a given policy and factoring in the percentage of children born with congenital problems.

  On the preexisting condition problem...it cannot be allowed if the plan is to survive without huge subsidies.

  My suggested solution, (aren't I arrogant) would be to have companies revert to their underwriting standards prior to obamacare and issue private policies based on those standards as in the past at rates approved by the individual states until enough data can be gathered to set national rates, if needed.

  For those with preexisting conditions, set up an assigned risk pool, much like Texas had and functioned as the Texas Assigned Risk Health Insurance Pool.  This pool issued policies to those with preexisting conditions and were allowed to charge up to 150% of the rates established for a like individual without the preexisting conditions.  The policy was then assigned to a company for servicing.  If the pool had an underwriting loss, that loss was shared by the companies doing health insurance business in the state on the same ratio as their share of business in the state.

  If soon to be president Trump follows through with this ill conceived plan, he will just be putting in to force a business model that will not last.  Maybe mine wouldn't either but it darn sure would have a better chance.

Somebody's priorities are mixed up. Just this last month, Chicago's homicide total for the year passed 600! What''s on the agenda for the city council meeting? Whether to add a 1 cent per ounce tax on soft drinks..Don't want obese dead people I guess.

Oh, did you note the hair pulling by Amazon's Bezo and Starbuck's Schultz over Trump's win? Facebook founder Zuckerberg playing nice though.

What do you think about California seceding? Any loss?  Once they lose all the military bases and spending, once many of the defense contractors have to move back to the good ole USA, maybe they will have second thoughts.  I would think a nice tariff going in and out of California might be right too.

Does California have much manufacturing, outside defense?  I've always thought of CA as a retail economy, can they make it feeding off each other?

Reading this, as I understand it, the Pentagon gave the Calif National Guard a budget of recruiting bonuses to bring people into the Guard. These men and women are now being forced to must refund the bonuses. This is after they have served overseas in battlefield conditions.

This cannot stand! If you are as offended as I am, write your reps in Washington and tell them to get off the stick and stop this. Bill California or whoever offered the bonuses in the first place.

For Texans under 65......

As the business model, (not created by business but politicians) could not succeed, this collapse of the was inevitable.  The fact that the insurance companies are losing money, and that is deserved because they went along with this in the first place, need to take the hit.  They were assured by the politicians that they would be made whole if things didn't work out and hopefully, It Ain't Gonna Happen.  The dishonest administration is trying to go around the law, can you believe that, and pay the billions from other funds in direct conflict with the intent of the law.  Since this is no longer a country governed by law, they may get away with it.

The stupidity of the eastern liberal left is unbelievable!  

Last night an IED exploded in downtown NY City and a second one found that they were able to secure before it was set off.

That worthless mayor, de blasio made the startling pronouncement that this was 'intentional' and initially said there wasn't a terrorist related.  Whether this was done by a mad bus driver or a muslim trained terrorist...this was a terrorist act.

But to say that would not be politically correct and might hurt obama's feelings. 

Also last night there was a fellow in a mall in St Cloud, MI that attack people, cutting and stabbing 8 people and it was reported that one victim said that before they were stabbed, the attacker ask them if they were muslim.  Some how the left will spin it away from it being what it obviously is.

Coffee and Ferrari

I always thought I would like to stay at Wynn's but if they entertain people that can afford this, it isn't a place for me.  I should have known when I saw they had a Ferrari dealership just inside the front door.

Why do they have to hide things?  Over the past month or so, it has been reported that there are many things the damocrat party and hilLIARy have hidden.  These are but a few things I've seen on the news. 

First, not first but recently, they State Dept admitted that they kept part of the iranian nuclear deal hidden from the public.  Just the other day it was revealed that an intended total gun ban as part of the damocrat party platform was to be disguised as "common sense gun legislation". 

Of course we have the on going coverup of the foreign donors to the damocrat party and hilLIARy's election.

As I understand it, donations by foreginers to influence U.S. elections is illegal and if it's illegal for them to make these donations, it follows that it is illegal to accept them but hilLIARy has.  There is tony podesta who is a registered agent of the Saudi bank Sber Bank CIB.  He is a celebrated bundler for her.

Then there is an emanual manatos bundled $40,000+ and he represents VTB Group which is part of the largest Russian Bank.  Other foreign agents, representing Turkey, Capital Counsel which raised $1.3 Million.

There are others representing the islamic GULEN movement, Mexico and Japan and who knows who else.  But, another batch of damocrat party emails is set to be released so be on the look out for new revelations.

Rusty old iron.....

  Brother-in-law to us to a local collection of old tractors.  They are right here in town.  The gentleman that has collected them over the years was very adamant about not coming on his property but they were right on the edge of the street and as long as we stayed in the street, it was ok to take pictures.  He was concerned a liability if there was an injury and also he had been plagued by theft.

  In any case, it was evident that there were many ideas of how a tractor ought to be built.  Considering the technology and tools of the time, some of the solutions were pretty elegant.  Take the design of center hub of this first wheel.

  This next one had another idea of how to get traction in the field.

  Can you imagine the ride you would get on pavement on that one.

  This next one, was it a Steam driven??

  Here is another shot.  One heck of a Radiator, huh?

      This last one is rather strange.  To the left you can see what appears to be an auto rear end.  It's not shown but to the left of that appears to be provisions for a motor.  This combination would drive the front wheels of this contraction.  You can see on of the solid wheels behind the rear end. This mess pulled the seat and controls way behind it.  There was an attachment below the seat for pulling tools such as plows or what ever.

Ducks.....

  Our family physician, AKA: GP, is in the Georgetown Medical Center building on the south side of town.  Between the Medical Center building and its neighbor to the north, they have a duck pond and water feature.

  Today on one of our many visits we noticed the ducks had a brood of little ones.  There appears to be 8 total.  Seven of them were following a couple around in the pond and finding bugs or something along the edge, insects I would assume. 

  One of the little fellows was on land following another pair of adults.  He did not appear to be injured so maybe he just was not as confident in the water as the others. 

  Oh, the large lead duck was very protective.  As I approached, he would get between me and the smaller one and the little one and look me in the eye and start talking to me.  Pretty clear what he was saying too.
