Regulations...

Just read this morning about Carrier Air Conditioning and their parent company United Technologies, moving approximately 1800 jobs to Mexico.  This will be over a period of time but must be a firm decision.

A reason mentioned, is the excess burden of regulation by various levels of government has pushed the cost of operation to high.  I'm sure that the push from the unions, United Steelworkers I believe, has been a factor too.

They mentioned in the article that supply cost have increased also which makes sense as these same regulations and labor costs apply to their suppliers as well.

The workers that are losing their jobs should be blaming the source of these pressures every bit as much as the management of Carrier/United Tech.  On one hand the government is making the cost of business increase to unbearable levels and on the other, they are letting Visa workers come in that will work for lower levels of pay and displacing American workers.  I suspect that if it were studied, you would fine these Visa workers are replacing non-union employees and are favoring specific, politically connected businesses.

Our country has gone to Hell under these elite, egotistical pricks that we have put into power.  I think that is the proper description, "...put into power, not put into office..."
