As I was rinsing out a can for recycling I had a thought. Here I am using precious water waiting for it to heat up to clean a can that probably isn't worth as much as the water. At some time in the future, someone would be willing to trade a hundred of there cans for just the water used to rinse this one can.
Also, why did the City allow the trash contractor to reduce services and raise rates when they instituted the single stream recycling program? It is more labor and equipment but who benefits from the sale of the material?
From the edge of the Hill Country, Just venting. If offended, move on....if not, let me hear from you.
