Back in November, a friend and I made our almost annual trip to Las Vegas. Our families started doing this back in 1987 or so. We've missed a few years but not many. Anyway...there isn't much new anymore but it is still relaxing and it's as good a place as any to put on a few pounds in a hurry as we spend the majority of our time either eating or planning on where to eat next.
Long ago, we gave up the idea that any of us were going to get rich playing the games so we don't spend a lot of time trying but still they do get a bit of our money. We want to do our part in keeping the lights on out there.
We have seen all the good shows with the exception of 'O', and we will see it the next trip without fail. I think the best one we've seen over the past 5 years or so is 'KA' at the MGM. This year we we saw 'Mystere' at TI and it was pretty good but the music in 'Love', the Beatles was better. A great surprise was the Australian BeeGee's. The small showroom was very cramped but the music was super good. My appreciate of the music in 'Love' and the BeeGees probably reflects my age.
On the back side of Aria and across the street is a unique piece of art. It is an assemblage of canoes, full size. I meant to get a picture of this last year and just didn't so went back, stopped, blocked traffic at the Aria's back door and jumped out and picked this up. Enjoy.
